BIND® uses a novel optical effect to provide very sensitive measurements of changes in binding or adherence in the proximity of the BIND Biosensor surface. SRU’s Biosensors incorporate a proprietary nanostructured optical grating which reflects a narrow range of wavelengths of light upon illumination with broadband light (“Peak Wavelength Value” or “PWV”). Biosensors are available with a variety of surface coatings and formats ranging from 16-well cartridges to 1536-well microplates.
