BIND Automation >> High Throughput Integrations
![]()
Typical HTS environments involve the integration of robotics, liquid handling devices and detectors with advanced scheduling software. Because of its small footprint and open architecture, the BIND Reader easily integrates in these physical environments. SRU’s BIND Automation software provides an easy communication link for scheduling software. The BIND Reader’s unique ability to analyze a 1536-well plate in 45 seconds makes it capable of processing hundreds of thousands of wells per day.

The BIND Reader’s compact plate holder provides easy access for almost any robotic arm. Additionally, the biosensor plate is always visible when on the Reader. SRU has validated the BIND Reader’s compatibility with robotic arms from:

![]() The BIND Reader operates within an HTS environment like any other device controlled by the scheduler.
In typical high-throughput automation environments, a scheduler controls hardware and software from a variety of third-party suppliers (as depicted in the diagram on the right.)
SRU Biosystems has drivers and a complete and well-documented Application Programming Interface (API) to work with the most advanced schedulers. Drivers currently exist for the following schedulers:

SRU Biosystems offers a complete software package, called BIND Automation, that enables the BIND Reader to integrate in these HTS environments. BIND Automation interfaces with the scheduler, controls the BIND Reader, tracks plates by barcode label, and exports data for analysis.
